Fall is in full swing as the temps plummet down into the comfortable zone again.
We had a long hot summer and now we finally get some reprieve as fall comes in to usher nice comfy temps for a month or two.
It was nice riding my bike this morning without sweating profusely. I still had my air conditioner on last night as the temp at night isn’t dropping low enough to warrant no AC. I like it under 55F outside at night for me to be able to shut off my AC. I have two cats and I am still unsure about leaving the balcony sliding glass doors open at night for them to escape. I guess I could just run the HVAC system at night with the fan only to circulate the air in the house once it gets cooler. I think the cats wouldn’t try jumping down off of the balcony but I just don’t know them well enough yet to leave them open. The local business near me sells screens for sliding glass doors so maybe I should just buy a couple and then I can leave them open all night for some cool air. The window in my bedroom has a big sound proof foam piece over it so it really wouldn’t help with cooling me down if I opened my window at night. I think the answer would be the screens, unless the cats claw their way through it like what happened to my HVAC tech friend. Then again, if they are that unhappy living with me then maybe I should let them leave! Haha, I think they would stay though.
