I hate it when my mom calls me these mornings; Since they’ve moved down here, she mostly just texts me while in the work day… Normally, I see them at least once a week as they live right around the corner, i spend a lot of time inside the zone controlled HVAC of my office plus I don’t like to waste my energy. So my people know not to call me at the office unless it’s a pressing deal, when I heard my assistant tell me that my mom was on the line, my blood went frigid a bit, of course, I was thinking about dad’s health or something bad had happened. When I heard her voice, I knew that there was something going on although she immediately reassured me that they were okay, then yet, she called me because my dad had decided that he was going to work on the HVAC equipment. I’m so blissful that she called! This is so like my dad, however he was the sort who could work on just about any machine, however but that was a long time ago plus HVAC technology is not something a 82 year old guy needs to be messing with; Actually, we had the central air conditioning upgraded when they moved into that condo. So it was still pretty current plus my mom plus I both realized just what would happen if dad started messing with the heating plus cooling unit. I hustled over there plus my mom met me at the door with the HVAC warranty. I had to easily hold this document in front of my dad to prove that he was about to void the warranty on the HVAC equipment. Thankfully, that got his attention.
