Accidentally turned on heat, not AC

This past weekend my associate and I were out of town, hitting the road and travelling good distances, as usual.

This is no unfamiliar event for us; it seems like we’re always in the motorcar these nights, driving thousands of miles for gigs, school tests, and friendly visits, however all that being said, you would think that I’d be able to figure out the temperature control situation at household when we’re gone.

For the longest time, I simply forgot to adjust the temperature control before my associate and I walked out the door. In all the hustle and bustle of packing and loading the car, I would rightfully forget to walk down the hallway and turn down the air handling equipment. Then, I would remember halfway through the trip that the A/C was still set to 74 degrees or the boiler was still blasting away. After that, I simply felt guilty and worried about the energy I wasted, and the trip would suffer from my negative energy. That’s why my husband finally had a smart temperature control installed in our home, to circumvent this guilt. Suddenly, I had the ability to adjust the indoor air temperature from somewhere! Whenever I remembered that our Heating, Ventilation & A/C system was still pumping away at home, I could actually modify the temperature control settings and reduce my anxiety. Well, that was a unquestionably good improvement to our household energy expenditure and Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan… however it only works if this idiot can figure out how to use it properly, and last weekend, I thought I was turning the A/C down in our absence, even though I was unquestionably cranking up the heat to 74 degrees. When my associate and I got back into town, our condo was scalding sizzling and our energy bill was quite impressive.
