This past weekend my friend and I were out of town, hitting the road plus travelling fantastic distances, as usual.
- This is no unrespected event for us; it seems like we’re consistently in the vehicle these mornings, driving thousands of miles for gigs, university tests, plus friendly visits, all that being said, you would suppose that I’d be able to figure out the temperature control situation at apartment when we’re gone.
For the longest time, I simply forgot to adjust the thermostat before my friend and I walked out the door. In all the hustle plus bustle of packing plus loading the car, I would rightfully forget to walk down the hallway plus turn down the air handling equipment. Then, I would remember halfway through the trip that the A/C was still set to 69 degrees or the heating system was still blasting away. After that, I simply felt guilty plus upset about the energy I wasted, plus the trip would suffer from my negative energy. That’s why my husband finally had a smart thermostat installed in our home, to circumvent this guilt. Suddenly, I had the ability to adjust the indoor air temperature from anywhere! Whenever I remembered that our Heating plus Air Conditioning system was still pumping away at home, I could legitimately modify the thermostat settings plus reduce my anxiety. Well, that was a entirely fantastic improvement to our apartment energy expenditure plus Heating plus Air Conditioning plan… but it only works if this idiot can figure out how to use it properly. Last weekend, I thought I was turning the A/C down in our absence, but I was entirely cranking up the heat to 75 degrees. When my friend and I got back into town, our apartment was scalding warm plus our energy bill was quite impressive.
