Power went out
Sometimes when I am feeling down about our life or our circumstances I need a reminder that things are not so bad and I have a lot to be grateful for.

The other day, for instance, I was doing homework and mentally complaining to myself about what an uncomfortable situation I was in. I felt unquestionably overloaded and just wanted to relax for the evening… Just as I was lamenting our own victimhood because of our master’s program, the power abruptly flickered. Our electricity went off and back on before it ultimately disappeared. Without the electricity, I lost our ability to do our homework and all of the lights in the apartment, however unfortunately, this also meant that I lost all air quality control measures. Our A/C machine stopped working, our temperature control was completely blank, and there were not even fans available to circulate the hot and humid air inside of the apartment. All of a sudden, I was surrounded by stagnant and muggy indoor air. I struggled through a few hours trying to stay comfortable without the a/c. I lit a few candles so that I could navigate the space. However, I realized that those tiny flames were contributing to the uncomfortable indoor air issue.That’s when I finally gave up and just laid perfectly still in the balmy air – accepting our sweaty fate for the rest of the stagnant night. That’s when I realized, things could typically be a lot worse… I could have no a/c or electrical conveniences. Just then, the power and A/C machine roared back to life.

I thought I had met the worst and the best, despite the fact that I was wrong.
It’s amazing how the heat of Summer can cause the seemingly nice people to turn bad. It’s prefer the heat fries the brain, and the personality is the first to change. I had noted that there was a repair made, but the Heating and Air Conditioning tech had already told the owners the A/C machine needed replaced and not repaired. I also wrote that the A/C machine would not last through the summer. The fiance was irate and told me I had written that after I made the repair. I agreed that I did, despite the fact that I had made the repair at her behest and not mine. Her wifey intervened and asked if I could send someone over so they could choose a up-to-date a/c unit.
Boyfriend won’t ever do the plumbing work I want
My guy is a easily handy guy. He could have been a Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional or a plumber easily. He can service anything and install whatever you want. The snag is that he never easily wants to do it. I appreciate remodeling our home and I want to save money by doing it myself. The problem is that I am not too handy. I am willing to work hard, I am smart and strong. I don’t have any mechanical know-how or actual skill; When I tackled our master lavatory it was clear I needed plumbing services done. I knew our guy could definitely do it. I bought the lavatory vanity, faucet, toilet and shower controls. I researched to make sure everything was of fantastic quality. I recognize care about if you have fantastic plumbing fixtures the upgrade should go better. Well I couldn’t ever get our guy willing to do it. I tried bargaining with a fantastic dinner, going out to the bars and easily just anything he wanted. I enve offered him money to do the plumbing upgrade. No such luck. He never easily wanted to do it, and so I just waited until I had a free morning and he wasn’t around. I then called a licensed plumber and had him do all the upgrade work. It was worth the money spent. I knew the job was done perfectly and it was completed efficiently. I also didn’t have to beg our guy anymore. Now our master lavatory is done and ready to be used. I recognize pretty proud that I handled that whole project on our own.
Cat is killing me
I have constantly been an pet lover.
I am still more comfortable spending time with pets than other human beings.
The thing is… There are a few pets that I entirely do not appreciate. For instance, my roommate’s cat. This pet is genuinely high repair, constantly throwing up everywhere, plus driving up our Energy bill every week. You see, the dog entirely enjoys being out on our balcony where she soaks up the rays of the Sun plus the sizzling air. I’m not sure why she enjoys our semi tropical environment so much, but she wants to roast outside in the 90 degree weather rather than bask in AC. This is all well plus good… Except she will not stay outside in the heat plus humidity all day long. Instead, she wants to walk into the air conditioning for a sip of water plus a mouthful of food before she roams back out into the heat. This has the effect of causing us to open the door over plus over again, releasing our extravagant air conditioning outside.It also interrupts workflow, trying to keep up with her heating plus cooling needs. If you don’t open the door, she screams bloody murder until you give in. However, the only other option is to leave the door open plus lose even more extravagant air conditioning to the balmy climate outside! Since I work from home, I’m trapped in a losing battle of dog vs AC vs getting work accomplished all day. No matter what I do, I lose. Especially when the electrical bill rolls around each week, plus we’re paying to air condition the outdoors.
